Female Alpacas

Dam and criaThe award-winning huacaya female alpacas possess great conformation and soft fleeces that are highly uniform in density, crimp, and luster. As you can see from the images of the females below, I'm also breeding for luscious solid colors. Of equal importance is good mothering capabilities, easy birthing, and adequate milk. Females at Able Oaks Ranch are carefully selected for just these qualities.

Able Oaks Open Ranch DayMy quality dams are bred to superior herdsires. To support you being successful in the alpaca business, females come with a free breed-back to any of my award-winning herdsires. Each alpaca purchase comes with a free halter and lead, and you'll get a bag of top-quality feed to transition them to their new home.

Head shot

Name: PHF Faith of Providence
DOB: 10/10/2006    COLOR: White
SIRE: PHF Peruvian Samson
Reg.#1436489 true black
DAM: PHF Providence     Reg.#1138429 white

Faith is the 3rd offspring of the same pairing. This girl carries both Cordero and Agusto genetics. She has a beautiful presence about her, round fibrous head, small nose, long dense fiber. She has correct conformation and a nice straight bite. She is a very attentive Mom, easy birther with plenty of milk.

Faith was bred to the full Accoyo herdsire, Accoyo Principe Dorato, ARI 850771, who is a son of 4Peruvian Accoyo Legacy. I'm thrilled with her cria, Peruvian Margaux.

Sales price: sorry, not for sale

Riviera with cria

AOR Riviera
DOB: 11/24/2007 COLOR: White
SIRE: Crescent Moon's Ranier
Reg.#825260 white
DAM: WR Cayuga
ARI Reg.#1104004, med brown

Riviera is an absolute doll with dense, very fine fleece and good crimp. She is pictured with her first cria, and she has proven to be a very attentive Mom with plenty of milk. I shall repeat this breeding in Nov 2010 to Coppertone.

I am very pleased with this girl and what she is producing.

Walela's with her 2010 cria out of Enchantment's Reserve

Name: BC Walela
DOB: 6/7/2003 R-HA851168 Dark Brown

SIRE: Shepherd's Pasture Jericho
Reg.#HA-R813217 MSG/WH
DAM: Camana's Sunshine Dance
Reg.#HA-R167529 MF

Walela means "Humming Bird" in the Cherokee language, and this girl just loves to hum. Walela's genetics include lots of grays, including her father. She has a buttery soft fleece with good crimp and nice long staple. She's a proven and attentive Mom with plenty of milk.

  • 1st place dark brown juvenile in 2004 Sun City Sizzle--El Paso
  • 2nd place 2004 TXOLAN--Ft. Worth.

Walela has been bred to Enchantment's Reserve, a bay black Dom Lucillio son. Her next cria is due in March 2009.

    Sale Price: $25,000
  • WR Cayuga

    Name: WR Cayuga
DOB: 7/5/2005   COLOR: medium brown (mahogany)
SIRE: AVF Te Deum     Reg.#10231 Color: medium silver gray
DAM: WR Bellatrix     Reg.#HA-819431 Color: Med Fawn

Cayuga has very dense, soft fleece with good coverage down to her toes. Although classified as a medium brown, she's actually a rich mahogony. Her father and grandparents are gray, so this girl has the potential to throw lots of color.

Cayuga is a proven and very attentive Mom, and easy birther with plenty of milk. She has bred to my silver gray herdsire, Bulawayo for a cria due in December 2009. Since her own Dad is also a gray, there's an excellent chance that she will prodice a gray cria.
Sales price: $18,000 - includes a free breed back
